John Simon Ritchie

 ... más conocido como Sid Vicious, nació en Londres (Reino Unido).
 Cuando el bajista Glen Matlock abandonó Sex Pistols, una de las bandas
de punk más importantes de los años 70, Sid Vicious pasó a formar parte
 del grupo. Para muchos su imagen provocadora y todo lo que le rodeaba
 eran las piezas clave de esta formación.

Tras morir joven, con 21 años (el 2 de febrero de 1979 en Nueva York),
 víctima de una sobredosis su figura se convirtió en todo un mito
 que ha permanecido inalterable a lo largo de los años. God save the Queen,
 un tema censurado en varias emisoras del Reino Unido,
fue la canción que dio a conocer al mundo a Sex Pistols.
El tema se incluía en su álbum Nevermind the bollocks (1977)
